1.Aplikasi (kabel instrumen):
Kabel BS 5308 dirancang untuk membawa sinyal komunikasi dan kontrol dalam berbagai jenis instalasi termasuk yang ditemukan di industri petrokimia. Sinyal dapat berupa analog, data atau jenis suara dan dari berbagai transduser seperti tekanan, kedekatan, dan mikrofon. Bagian 1 Kabel Tipe 3 umumnya dirancang di mana tingkat perlindungan mekanis dan kimia yang lebih tinggi diperlukan atau penguburan langsung pada kedalaman yang sesuai.
